Mourinho ready to allow players to leave

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has stated that he will not prevent any player from leaving the club if he is unhappy.

He said that he has an open-door policy and that players are free to leave if they feel that they are not getting enough playing time at the moment.

He said that clubs are welcome to place bids for players that are currently not playing regularly in the squad but Manchester United reserve the rights to accept or refuse any bid.

Jose Mourinho said that he already knows his best team and that there might be changes coming during the January transfer window. He believes that there are some fringe players that might benefit from moving away from the club as he cannot guarantee whether they will get enough playing time by staying at the club.

Among the players that are most likely to make way, we have Schneiderlin and Depay who have failed to establish themselves in the Manchester United first team and will certainly benefit from moving away from the club. Former German international Bastian Schweinsteiger is another player that might seek a move away from the club during the transfer window.

Jose Mourinho believes that Manchester United is progressing and that they will be able to catch up with the leaders as the season goes by. He said that the club is still a work in progress and that he will need some time before being able to challenge for the title.

He said that there might be some new players coming during the transfer window, but it will depend whether the clubs will release their players in the midst of a season. It will also depend on the number of players that will be allowed to leave the club.
